Seremban and the Negeri Sembilan industrial belt offer internship opportunities that are genuinely underrated given the area's accessibility from Kuala Lumpur and its own substantial manufacturing base. Nilai, just north of Seremban, is one of Malaysia's more active industrial townships — housing logistics operators along the KLIA-to-Seremban corridor, food manufacturing companies (Yee Lee, Fraser & Neave, and halal-certified food processors), and packaging manufacturers. Seremban town hosts the Negeri Sembilan state government complex, providing public administration and social services internship placements for Public Administration, Law, and Social Science students. The Automotive cluster is a draw for engineering students: the PROTON and national automotive supply chain extends through the Sendayan area, and component manufacturers in Nilai and Seremban provide automotive engineering training placements. Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar in Seremban is one of the larger public hospitals in the state, offering clinical placements for medical, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health students. With the KTM Komuter and future MRT connectivity improvements in the works, Seremban is increasingly viable for KL-based students who prefer to remain within commuting distance. Allowances: government placements RM 400–600; manufacturing RM 500–800.
