The internship logbook, or buku log, is a weekly record that most Malaysian public universities require alongside the final report. UiTM, UTM, UPM, and most polytechnics have their own logbook formats, but the expectation is consistent: record what tasks you did each day, what skills you applied, and one thing you observed or learned. Write in full sentences, not bullet points. Be honest about quiet days. A week where you mostly attended meetings and shadowed a colleague is worth documenting honestly because it shows what real professional environments look like. Fill it in at the end of each week, not at the end of the internship from memory. University supervisors visit mid-internship in some programs and will ask to see a completed log. MyScholar helps you find internships with active learning environments so your logbook has real content.
