Yayasan Khazanah is the philanthropic and scholarship arm of Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia's sovereign wealth fund. Its scholarship programmes are among the most prestigious in the country, and also among the most selective. The two main tracks are the Global Scholarship (for overseas undergraduate and postgraduate study at top-ranked universities) and the Watan Scholarship (for study at Malaysia's leading local universities). For the Global Scholarship, target universities include Oxbridge, Ivy League, NUS, LSE, and equivalent institutions — the bar is extremely high. CGPA equivalent of 4.0 or straight As at A-Level/STPM, combined with strong leadership and genuine intellectual depth. The Watan track is more accessible but still highly competitive, targeting students at UM, UKM, UTM, and UTP among others. Both tracks require essays, a rigorous selection camp, and panel interviews. Bond periods apply post-graduation. MyScholar lists Yayasan Khazanah with application window status.
